| I've been a history buff for as long as I can remember, and I love visiting historic sites. Of all that I've seen, however, Tombstone best epitomizes Ambrose Bierce's injunction that history is "An account mostly false, of events mostly unimportant, which are brought about by rulers mostly knaves, and soldiers mostly fools." Or maybe Henry Ford said it best: "History is bunk." No matter what the facts, I still enjoyed the visit. |
